Might just be me, but I think Pesci is one of the most under-rated male actors today, perhaps because he's consistently been portrayed as a bag guy or a good fellow. I find this with many actors who are constantly stuck in the same roles...most often as Italian baddies if that's their heritage. It's like producing movies about Native Americans or Hispanics or Chinese, or Irish, or whomever in a continual negative light simply because of their heritage. It gets boring as a viewer.
