Just like writing books, only about 1% of the top 1% of writers will make a living at it. The rest is gravy... a fancy coffee, or a magazine, or a couple street tacos...on occasion.
Like writing books, do it because you enjoy it. Let others read your work because they might enjoy it too. But don't expect huge monetary success. It doesn't work like that.
