Really, what a selfless thing to do for your mother. Through your mix tape, she was able to have some of you with her when you weren't by her side.

I made many mix tapes in my youth. I never gave any of them away. Probably because no one ever gave me one. I wasn't anywhere near popular in school and didn't date. Again, never asked. But I grew up with music around me all the time and loved listening and buying it. It's something Dad and I have in common, and maybe more so these days as he's now venturing into his 80s. Music makes us FEEL, and those are memories most difficult to forget as time passes...
