If you take the cheesiness of the Clyde movies and multiply it by 100, you won't come close to the cheese factor of this film. Take away the singing and you might have a somewhat decent film, though the plot is pretty thin compared to Eastwood's other Westerns.
Eastwood is an accomplished musician, having written many themes for his movies, but singing isn't his forte.
Remember, a meal is only as good as your last bite. That's what's memorable. It's the same for films. So, don't kick yourself if you forgo this one. If you are compelled to watch it though, go back to one of your favorites in order to leave that good taste of the meal in your mouth when you walk away.
